You've fallen in love with the cars of the movie. The engines didn't shriek. Or whine. They sounded raw, like instruments of pure power ready to wreak havoc.
Did you know there was a non-musical soundtrack released? All the incredible recordings made of the cars in their uninterrupted glory. A full lap of Monza in the Ferrari of the day. and others. Soul-rending sounds. It'll make you wish turbos were never invented.
Long out of print, never on CD but thank god someone copied it to the internet. A bit scratchy but you'll never notice. These are the sounds that won the movie an Academy Award for best Sound. Car sounds start about 10:00. TURN IT UP!
